The burst water main was reported to Wessex Water on Monday, September 4, at around 7pm.
There had been concern over sewage in the flood, but statements from the Parish Council on Facebook, and from Wessex Water, say that this issue has been dealt with.
“The worst offender is Wessex Water, guilty of 1,013 separate sewage discharges into chalk streams across the West of England.
“Wessex Water are making an investment in the Holdenhurst treatment works to add holding capacity for storm water events.
